During the COVID-19 epidemic, it is quite clear that our transportation industry, including carriers, freight brokers and logistics companies are on the frontline making sure the supply chain is not affected.

The WSJ recently reported that transportation related jobs are rising, and demand for warehouse workers in food, grocery and medical supplies are also increasing, Amazon and Walmart may also be hiring tens of thousands of workers for their distribution centers.

However, there are serious concerns, ProLogistix conducted a survey of workers, as per the survey, about 27% of workers said their workplace had not taken extra precautions against the spread of the virus. If this is the case, then we have serious problems that should be addressed immediately.

It should be a priority for employers to make sure their workforce remain protected from the virus. What steps are being taken by these companies to keep workers safe from COVID-19?
